Here’s something you don’t see every day. It may look like your run of the mill 79 series dual cab. However if you look closely the boys at Creative conversions have done their magic to Brett’s 76 series V8 wagon. After giving it a body chop and then extending the chassis 750mm they provided us a great platform to work with!
Looking to do more touring over hard core 4wding Brett wasn’t fussed by the extended wheel base. instead he saw it as an opportunity to make is crowded wagon into a usable touring platform.
Featuring a full Aluminium chassis mount system, they overall weight has been kept down to allow for more important things to be fitted to the vehicle. We worked with Brett to allow for fitment of a fridge, Top End Kitchen, Chainsaw box, Gas, Hot water system, Batteries and a few other goodies. Still with plenty of room to go around.
Underneath we kitted out the canopy with 2 underbody boxes, trundle tray and 65L water tank. This gave him plenty of room for recovery gear and spares.
On top we retrofitted his James Baroud roof top tent. and on the rear 2 spare wheel mounts.
All up there isnt much else we could think of doing to this canopy. It definitely allows Brett to travel in comfort, with many mod cons at his disposal any place any time!
